Jessie Eisenberg cast as Lex Luthor in the Man of Steel sequel is dominating comics news so you may have missed out on a big reveal in DC Comics this week.
The identity and origin of Batman of Earth 2 was revealed in Earth 2 Annual by Tom Taylor. The identity of the man under the cape and cowl has been highly anticipated since this Dark Knight joined the cast.
On Earth 2 – the original Superman, Wonder Woman and Batman died in the fight against Darkseid.
So who is it?

Batman of Earth 2 is….Thomas Wayne!?
Thomas survived the bullet in Crime Alley on Earth 2 all those years ago.
Thomas Wayne was not the upstanding community leader we all know him as. Wayne was working for the Falcones and Joe Chill’s shooting of the Waynes was a mob hit. Wayne faked his death and now is back to honor his son the only way he knows how.
If think that’s a twist then the Red Tornado you see in the panel above- that’s a resurrected Lois Lane. That’s life on Earth 2.
