There’s still a ton of mystery about the conflict and villains in Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice which comes out in 2 months. Director Zack Snyder is revealing more about the surprise villain of superhero showdown. In the most recent trailer it appears Lex Luthor creates the monstrous Doomsday using the corpse of General Zod.
The fight between the DC icons brings in Wonder Woman and leads to the two-part Justice League film. Who will Snyder and the Warner Brothers team pit against the super team?
Snyder is teasing the cinematic version of the infamous Superman comic book rogue.
“Well, you have Doomsday, right? He doesn’t just crawl out of the ground. He has his own mythology, right? So that has to be explored…” Snyder told The Daily Beast.
“To us it really made sense to give [Doomsday] to the audience now. I really wanted to make the audience a promise that… though I’m super excited and happy and fulfilled by the conflict of Batman and Superman, there’s also a bigger world to start to think about.”
Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice opens March 25 followed by Suicide Squad in August, Wonder Woman and Justice League, Part One in 2017.
