Marvel announced via Comicbook.com the comic inspired by the cinematic team will have a new creative team.

Star-Lord, Gamora, Drax the Destroyer, Rocket Raccoon and Baby Groot reunite and blast off in a new series in the same month as Guardians of the Galaxy, Volume Two hitting the big screen.

The Defenders

The new version of this comic book is coming back taking inspiration from Marvel’s expanding Netflix series.

Daredevil, Luke Cage, Jessica Jones and Iron First all headline their own Netflix series and will join together for a Defenders show.

Marvel announced via The Hollywood Reporter Heat Vision Brian Michael Bendis and David Marquez will reunite for a new Defenders comic book starring these heroes. The new ongoing will launch in June after a preview in Marvel’s Free Comic Book Day issue in May.

Bendis and Marquez just wrapped up the Civil War II event and have worked together on Invincible Iron Man.

The Defenders have traditionally been Marvel’s non-team book with a ever-changing roster including Doctor Strange, Hulk, Namor, Silver Surfer, Valkyrie and Hellcat. Bendis co-created Jones and recruited Cage and Iron Fist to Earth’s Mightiest Heroes during his New Avengers run.

Ben Reilly: The Scarlet Spider

Marvel is launching Ben Reilly: The Scarlet Spider following the current Amazing Spider-Man: Dead No More epic. The center of the Clone Saga returns in a new series by Peter David (Spider-Man 2099) and Mark Bagley. The new Spider-book comes out swinging in April.

Nick Fury
Marvel gives the son of Nick Fury a license to thrill headlining his own new ongoing book. James Robinson and ACO are the team behind Marvel’s super spy in a new book in April. This will star the Fury inspired by the Ultimate and Marvel Cinematic Universes.
