Fans are celebrating the 75th Anniversary of Green Arrow in comics. The television series based on DC Comics Emerald Archer is counting down to a milestone 100th episode with special guests coming back.

Manu Bennett last played Slade Wilson aka Deathstroke on the Season 3 episode titled The Return. Wilson was Queen’s mentor on the island in flashbacks and later became Oliver’s rival who he killed by stabbing him in the eye. Wilson survived and returns years later as Deathstroke leading an attack on Starling City.
Ben Affleck teased. Geoff Johns confirmed. Joe Manganiello will play Deathstroke in the Batman standalone film following the Justice League movie.
The fifth season of Arrow premieres October 5th at 8pm on The CW. The 100th episode is expected to air in December as part of the crossover with The Flash, Supergirl, DC’s Legends of Tomorrow.
In the comics Green Arrow’s adventures are set in Seattle in a new book by Ben Percy with Seattle based artists Stephen Byrne. Deathstroke is headling a new comic book by writer Christopher Priest.
