Logan is a step closer to the end this week with Death of Wolverine #2.

The end is near for Logan.

No healing factor.

Someone is sending the world’s most ruthless mercenaries and hunters after him.

In the first chapter Charles Soule and Steve McNiven revealed there’s a bounty on the X-Man’s head.

This week Logan goes back to Madripoor for what might be one last time.

As Soule teases,  the green themed cover and mystery woman is part of the thrill of the story exploring Wolverine’s past.

“Part of the fun of this story is its many cameos. We aren’t bringing in every last character Logan’s ever met, but we’ll see a bunch of cool folks. However, cameos work in part because of the element of surprise, so I think it’s good that we aren’t ruining it too specifically here. That said, anyone who knows Wolverine’s history could probably put two and two together here to figure out where he is, who those eyes belong to, why green is a major color element,” Soule told Marvel.com.

The book is filled with friends not just femme fatales.

After a brief but important appearance by Reed Richards in the first issue, Tony Stark guest stars as Logan head to the infamous island of Madripoor.

Way back when Logan got his first solo series, writer Chris Claremont set Wolverine’s rogue adventures in Madripoor, a fictional island country in Southeast Asia. Logan was a silent partner in the Princess Bar and went by the code-name Patch and even wore a one.

Why is Iron Man in Logan’s old haunt? How is Tony connected to the head hunt for Wolverine? Take a look at McNiven’s preview art for this week’s second chapter:
