Two of Marvel’s most insane characters start a battle of the ages this week.
The Merc With a Mouth takes on the Spider-Man killer Carnage in Deadpool vs. Carnage by writer Cullen Bunn and artist Salva Espin (the creative team behind Deadpool Kills Deadpool.)
“In this series, Carnage is embarking on a wild, random killing spree. The authorities can’t predict his next move, so they can’t track him. But Deadpool discovers that he’s able to foresee what Carnage is going to do next. They’re on similar wavelengths of crazy. In a sense, Deadpool is the only person capable of taking Carnage down,” Bunn told Marvel.com.
“This is definitely a tale of hot pursuit, so we see Deadpool and Carnage squaring off against each other in a variety of locales. While their first encounter is somewhat quiet–putting aside the explosions, screaming, dubstep, and splattering innards–the subsequent “arenas” they enter will influence the fights in dramatically.”
Who’s the craziest killer? The fight begins in Deadpool vs. Carnage#1 out this Wednesday.
