Fox is betting the Merc With a Mouth with kill it at the box-office.
Deadpool writers Rhett Reese and Paul Wernick are working on a sequel according to The Hollywood Reporter. Tim Miller directed the upcoming film but is not signed on a follow-up yet according to the story.
The writers, director and star Ryan Reynolds have fought for the film to get made. Now a sequel may already be in the works for the rated R superhero starring the mercenary from the X-Men universe.
Fox is also working on a possible X-Force spinoff with a script by Jeff Wadlow.
The success of Deadpool could affect hopes for X-Force unless the two are merged. In comics Deadpool was a member of the a Wolverine led X-Force.
Deadpool opens Friday.
