DCTV CRISIS CROSSOVER

Get ready for a CRISIS across the DC TV Universe.

The CW and Warner Bros. Television announced this year’s crossover is  “Crisis on Earth-X.”

This is a homage to the “crisis” events that have rocked and reshape the DC Universe.  The comic book classic CRISIS ON INFINITE EARTHS introduced the Multiverse.

DC Comics unveiled a custom comic book cover paying tribute the past and celebrating the upcoming television artist by fan-favorite Phil Jimenez.

“We conceived this year’s crossover to be evocative of the annual Justice League/Justice Society crossovers we grew up with and looked forward to as kids,” said Executive Producers Marc Guggenheim and Andrew Kreisberg. “Phil was the perfect choice to bring the comic book cover iteration of this idea to life. You can count on one hand the number of artists who could compellingly represent so many characters in a single image. Phil is one of them. And his design invokes the cover of JUSTICE LEAGUE #207, which was the 20th Annual JLA/JSA crossover. Our ten-year-old selves are in heaven.”

“Some of the first DC Comics I ever read were those insane crossovers with a dozen characters from alternate earths and dimensions—the kind of stuff I later became known for!” Jimenez revealed. “So when CW asked me to do an homage cover inspired by those amazing team up covers, I couldn’t resist, the chance to draw all of The CW’s DC Super-Heroes in one crazy action sequence was insanely fun and exciting. And Romulo Fajardo’a colors brought everything to life!”

The CW  revealed the four-part crossover will air over two nights: Monday, November 27th and Tuesday, November 28th on The CW. ARROW will air on Thursdays this season, but for the crossover it will air on Monday at 9/8c after SUPERGIRL, while the other DC shows will remain in their regularly scheduled time periods.

Fans got their first look at the #DCTV take on Earth-X in the sneak peek of the upcoming “Freedom Fighters: The Ray” digital animated series. It appears The Ray will make his live action debut in the crossover.

Will this crossover include the wedding of Barry Allen and Iris West given the depiction on the cover?

Part One is on November 27th.
