Big New York Comic Con news about Daredevil – Marvel‘s new series coming on Netflix.
Here’s a first look at Charlie Cox as the masked vigilante inspired by Daredevil: Man Without Fear by Frank Miller and John Romita Jr. and Cox as Matt Murdock.
Four new cast members announced:
Ayelet Zurer (Man of Steel) will play Vanessa Marianna, an art dealer whose chance meeting with Wilson Fisk dramatically changes their lives.
Vondie Curtis Hall will play Ben Urich, an investigative journalist at the New York Bulletin who’ll soon find himself drawn into a war for the soul of Hell’s Kitchen.
Toby Leonard Moore (John Wick) will play Wesley, right-hand man and confidante to Wilson Fisk.
Bob Gunton (The Shawshank Redemption, Argo) will play Leland Owlsley, an enigmatic and key figure in Wilson Fisk’s crusade to remake Hells Kitchen.
These four stars joins Charlie Cox (Matt Murdock), Deborah Ann Woll (Karen Page), Elden Henson (Foggy Nelson), with Rosario Dawson and Vincent D’Onofrio (Wilson Fisk).
Dawson’s mystery role has been revealed. The star will play Clare Temple, a nurse then doctor who once married Bill Foster (Goliath) and was onetime love of Luke Cage. This could be a sign that Dawson’s character could tie Daredevil into the Luke Cage series. Iron Fist and Jessica Jones are the other Marvel Netflix series in the works.
