Fans of The Man Without Fear are celebrating the brand new Daredevil #1 this week but there’s a bigger reason to run to the comic book shops next month.
Marvel announced Daredevil #1.50 by an all-star team honoring 50 years of Matt Murdock.
“We’re celebrating the Man Without Fear’s 50th anniversary not by looking back, but by looking forward,” Mark Waid told Marvel.com “With a special story set in the future, on Matt Murdock’s 50th birthday, peppered with clues for sharp-eyed readers as to what the rest of 2014 will hold for Daredevil!”
Current creative team Mark Waid and Chris Samnee will be joined by former DD creators Javier Rodriguez, Brian Michael Bendis, Alex Maleev and Karl Kessel.
In the new series Matt moves to San Francisco and in the “future” story set on his 50th birthday – a tragedy in the city by the bay brings the vigilante out of retirement.
Marcos Martin will create several variants each with decade theme spotlighting key moments in Daredevil’s history:
