Marvel announced Daniel Bruhl (Rush, Inglorious Basterds, The Fifth Estate, ) has joined the cast of Captain America: Civil War.
The actor’s role was not revealed.
“With Daniel’s ability to deliver intense, nuanced performances, we knew we had found yet another great actor to share the screen with some of our biggest heroes,” said Producer Kevin Feige.
Chris Evans returns as Steve Rogers. Robert Downey Jr. will co-star as Tony Stark in the film based on the classic story that pits hero vs. hero when the U.S. government passes the Superhero Registration Act. Captain America and Iron Man falls on rival sides of the act leading to a battle between heroes.
Captain America: Civil War opens May 6, 2016.
