Avengers: Age of Ultron paves the way for Captain America: Civil War.
Steve Rogers and Tony Stark come to blows over the Superhero Registration Act. A classic villain will be taking advantage or maybe manipulating the conflict.
Daniel Bruhl was cast in the sequel and revealed he’s playing Baron Helmut Zemo when asked in a new interview in The Independent.
“I think I can tell you that without being thrown in Marvel prison,” Bruhl said of the super sequel,”For the first few days I’ll be walking around like a little boy just amazed by the megalomania of it. It’s such a huge budget. We could 20 films with the budget.”
Helmut Zemo’s father, Heinrich, was a Nazi scientist and Captain America villain in World War II. The heir masqueraded as a hero in the Thunderbolts, an all-villain team who later worked for the government to track down anti-registration heroes during Civil War.
Thanks to Comic Reel for spotting the story.
Captain America: Civil War opens May 6, 2016. Joe and Anthony Russo are returning to direct.
