Daken hated his father while he was alive.
What about now?
Born in tragedy and manipulated by Romulus, Daken became a hate-filled predator obsessed with revenge against his father.
Death of Wolverine: The Logan Legacy follows how the X-Man’s death is affecting his greatest enemies.
Ray Fawkes (Constantine, Trinity of Sin: Pandora) wrote this week’s issue starring Daken.
“After returning from death himself, finding out that his hated—and…loved?—father has died puts an incredible strain on Daken. He needs to find some kind of release from the collision of emotions—something that may surprise everyone,”
Fawkes told Marvel.com.
“Daken will never be able to escape the ghost of Logan. Every decision he makes in this issue is informed by his father’s legacy.”
Daken was resurrected by the Apocalypse Twins in Uncanny Avengers.
Will Daken finally make peace with his father in death? Daken will take on a mission in Wolverine’s name that will “surprise everyone who knows them both.”
Daken once impersonated Wolverine but could he take up his father’s code-name and legacy as the next Wolverine?
Fawkes will co-write Wolverines with Charles Soule in 2015. The new weekly series will star Daken, X-23, Sabretooth and Mystique.
