Who has a gun to Cyclops’s head?

Is Scott’s revolution about to be silenced along with the mutant leader?

The revolution escalates and so does the war with S.H.I.E.L.D. in Uncanny X-Men #18 this week.

It’s all part of the master plan by writer Brian Michael Bendis since he launched Uncanny X-Men and All-New X-Men.

“All of the groundwork has been laid out and now it’s time to blow the roof off the place,” Bendis told Marvel.com.

“All of the characters have been introduced, all of the relationships have been cemented, the new status quo is locked and loaded—now it’s time to deliver on the promise.”

The X-Men (during Battle of the Atom) learned S.H.I.E.L.D. has its own Sentinels.

Is Scott willing to risk a war with the world’s top cops?

“I think it’s a bigger risk for him at this point not to take on S.H.I.E.L.D.,”the writer explained, “Something’s wrong over there and their lives are in danger. He made a promise both publicly and privately to his people that he would fight for them and protect them. Something is going on [at S.H.I.E.L.D.] that is putting mutant lives in danger. One would have to imagine that it’s better to be alive than have goodwill.”

Magneto goes solo this week. Kitty Pryde and the All-New X-Men are in space with the Guardians of the Galaxy. Who know if young Scott will return?

It’s Cyclops, Emma Frost, Magik and their rookies against the world and S.H.I.E.L.D.

“Many people have asked in what form Cyclops’s revolution will take. This is it.”

Uncanny X-Men #18 by Bendis and Chris Bachalo arrives Wednesday.
