A major Thor and Avengers villain strikes Marvel’s Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D. this season.
Marvel revealed a first look at Brian Patrick Wade (Teen Wolf, Generation Kill, The Guardian) as Carl “Crusher” Creel aka the Absorbing Man.
Creel was created by Stan Lee and Jack Kirby in the pages of The Mighty Thor.
Creel was a prize fighter in prison when he was given the ability to absorbed the property of any metal he touched after drinking a liquid spiked with Asgardian elements courtesy of Loki.
Creel would become a member of the Masters of Evil and would marry the super strong villain known as Titania.
As you can see from this Walt Simonson classic cover, Creel can turn into steel and grow into great size.
Lucy Lawless, Kyle MacLachlan and Adrianne Palicki, Henry Simmons and Reed Diamond are among the second season’s new cast members.
Marvel’s Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D. returns September 23rd at 9pm.
