A milestone issue for Marvel’s First Family this week but it’s a bittersweet moment.

Fantastic Four #645 is the final issue of the cancelled title as the publisher returns to its original numbering. This is the conclusion of The End of 4Ever.

In two months the Fantastic Four star in a new film adventure with a new cast but the iconic comic book ends with this final issue by James Robinson and Leonard Kirk.

MARVEL Celebrates 50 Years of SHIELD

Marvel announced big plans for the 50th Anniversary of S.H.I.E.L.D. at C2E2 with brand new one-shots and massive collections of great spy stories by legendary creators.

Stan Lee and Jack Kirby created the Supreme Headquarters, International Espionage, Law Enforcement Division in Strange Tales # 135 in 1965. Nick Fury and his top agents leaped into Nick Fury, Agent of S.H.I.E.L.D. by Jim Steranko.

The legendary super spy agency now appears in S.H.I.E.L.D. by Mark Waid, Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D. , Agent Carter and a third spinoff television series in the works plus Marvel’s Cinematic Universe including the upcoming Avengers: Age of Ultron. Continue reading MARVEL Celebrates 50 Years of SHIELD

NINJAK: SHADOW WARS

Valiant announced The Shadow Wars at C2E2 with writer Matt Kindt pitting MI-6’s most elite agents against four new enemies with an all-star lineup of artists on board.

The new story arc begins in NINJAK #6 from Kindt and artists: Raul Allen, Juan Jose Ryp, Stephen Segovia, and Clay Mann.

COMMON Joins SUICIDE SQUAD?

Oscar-winning rapper-turned-actor Common has joined Suicide Squad according to The Hollywood Reporter though his role is not revealed and Warner Brothers had not commented.

The film is based on the DC Comic about super villains secretly working for a government agency. David Ayer is directing with production under way in Toronto.

The cast includes Jared Leto as Joker, Will Smith as Deadshot, Margot Robbie as Harley Quinn, Joel Kinnaman and Viola Davis as Amanda Waller.

A new official trailer for Jurassic World is unleashed by Universal Pictures.

We all know Chris Pratt (Guardians of the Galaxy) is charming but can he really tame….Raptors?!

When the new park’s owners and scientists (including Bryce Dallas Howard) up the “wow” factor with a new dinosaur, we see what’s bigger, badder and more dangerous than a T-Rex!

STAR WARS LANDO MARVEL Series This Summer

The smoothest man in the galaxy is back in his own comic book series.

Lucasfilm and Marvel announced Lando Calrissian will star in a limited series by Charles Soule (Death of Wolverine, Uncanny Inhumans) and Alex Maleev (Daredevil) coming in July.

“Is Lando Calrissian the coolest character in all of Star Wars? Depends on who you ask, probably. But if you ask me, the answer is yes, and I plan to prove it with this story,” writer Soule told StarWars.com.

DC recruits an all-star roster of artists for Joker variants for books coming this June.

Harley Quinn took over in February and this month is classic movie poster month.
