Daniel Craig’s first Bond Girl could be the villainess in the 300 sequel. Heat Vision of The Hollywood Reporter says producers want Eva Green to play Artemesia in 300: The Battle for Artemesia.
Green was Vesper in Casino Royale. The French actress would play a gold covered goddess who influences the Persian conqueror Xerses into battle against the Greeks.
Dark Horse Comics is publishing Xerses, a graphic novel series by creator Frank Miller according to Spinoff Online.
I’m in transit today from Seattle to Eastern North Carolina to see Mom for the holidays. Before I left I wanted to share a special Christmas issue of the X-Men.
X-Men #109 was dubbed a 100 page monster issue featuring a new story by Chris Claremont plus 3 older tales set around the holidays. While the previous stories are all action packed with Sentinels, a demon stalking Kitty and Gladiator versus Cannonball, the main story is very moving and reminds us how Chris Claremont poured a lot of heart into the team he wrote so many years.
“Ceremonies” shows X-Men in a snowball fight, ice skating, enjoying a date, breaking up, giving each other comfort. Comics always deliver action, thrills and battles but once in a while, a change of pace issue like this one makes you remember why you’re cheering for X-Men to win.
I may not be posting as much as you’re used to this week because I’m spending time with family and just chilling out but I will be back up to full speed after the holiday.
As you unite with friends and family I wish you safe travels and a happy holiday.
The Dark Knight Rises star Christian Bale talks about the incident in China where video shows him and a CNN crew chased after trying to visit an activist Bale admires. The actor praises blind activist Chen Guangcheng in the interview.
“It’s amazing that the man has the power that he does. And to have accomplished what he’s already done in this life” Bale said.
Daniel Craig talks about the production on the new 007 movie Skyfall while doing promotion for The Girl With the Dragon Tattoo.
Craig says working with Director Sam Mendes “a dream situation” and “…the cast is stunning. I’m on the set, you know, with Ralph Fiennes, Judi Dench…Javier Bardem turned up the other day. I couldn’t be in a better place, we couldn’t be in a better place. Sam is doing an amazing job. The movie looks great. There’s going to be everything you want from a Bond movie…(laughs)just like I’m selling it doesn’t it, and more.”
For more of Daniel Craig’s BBC audio interview including his praise for reporters and what the character Lisabeth Salander would think of James Bond click here. Craig’s character is a crusading journalist and Salander is his researcher in the new film based on the Millenium Trilogy.
Axel Alonso is revealing more about Avengers Versus X-Men. In this week’s Axel-In-Charge column on Comic Book Resources this quote got my brain spinning when Marvel’s Editor in Chief was asked which team he wants to win:
“…even though there will be a winner in this story – AVX was never about who would win, but how they would win, why they would win and what they would win. It’s an epic story that will most fast: Each act takes places in two months and ends with a game-changing moment that will kick readers on their butts. And like our most successful events, there will be big moments, big revelations. In Civil War there was Spider-Man unmasking. This story’s got even bigger moments. It’ll be interesting to see how people respond.”
Opinion: I have this feeling an X-Woman is going to be sacrificed. I don’t even want to say who…but I think this series will be the breaking point for Cyclops.

Yes there really was almost a Superman movie directed by Tim Burton and starring Nicolas Cage. The Man of Steel Facebook page gave us a reminder of why it might be best that Superman Lives died.
13 years after the reboot project was shut down these concept sketches for a line of toys based on the movie are out. The Man of Steel Facebook page is dedicated to the upcoming The Man of Steel starring Henry Cavill and they have stunning photos of him and other action on the set.
