Emerald City Comicon is less than 3 weeks away! As we count down to the big event in Seattle I want to share some of my favorite ECCC memories. Before Chris Evans played the Star Spangled Avenger last summer, many local guys paid tribute to Steve Rogers. This is A.J. Roberts – a great friend, fellow comic book fan and master costumer! The Colossus I knew and loved is long gone in Uncanny X-Men. Peter is in a dark place now that he’s the Juggernaut. Peter made a deal with a devil. He made a bargain with Cyttorak to become his avatar in order to defeat the Kurth empowered Juggernaut. This decision caused Kitty to leave him.
This week in Ultimate Comics X-Men #10 the alternative version of Peter is back. Colossus and Storm are among the mutants held and tortured in Camp Angel. These captured mutants face a tough choice when the government’s mutant secret is out. If Peter and Ororo bust out of the prison camp – don’t expect a reunion with Kitty. Colossus is gay in this line. I do hope we catch up with Kitty aka the Shroud and her mutant rebels on the run – including Wolverine’s son.
Saucer Country #1 A Presidential candidate’s frightening encounter on a lonely road leaves her with terrifying memory flashes. Now she must win the White House to expose the truth and save the world.
Saga #1 An original sci-fi epic for mature readers from the man behind Y: The Last Man and Lost. A couple struggles to raise their newborn in an endless galactic war. Fans are calling this Star Wars meets Game of Thrones.
Avengers Assemble #1 The Zodiac attacks! This new series stars the cast of the upcoming Avengers movie against a brand new version of one of their deadliest enemies.
Wolverine and the X-Men #7 Kitty Pryde pregnant with aliens. Beast, Rachel and Iceman shrunken and inside the body of their teammate trying to save her. Broo under attack from a new alien threat. Wolverine’s gamble in a galactic casino backfires. Adventures in outer and inner space with the comic book that delivers more fun than anything on the shelves!
Batgirl #7 The Joker attacked Batgirl and changed her life forever in the classic Batman: The Killing Joke. See a side of that fateful night you’ve never experiences before. While Barbara faces her demons a new killer stalks Gotham City.
MI6 posted our first look at Javier Bardem on the set of the next James Bond film but we do not know his character’s name…until now? Today the 007 fan site reports that a Swedish actor named Jens Hultén is joining the cast as a “henchman to the main villain, Silva, played by Javier Bardem.”
Bardem is still listed as just Villain on the IMDB credits.
“It’s obviously a great honor to participate in “Skyfall“. Bond movies are huge productions with some of the greatest talents both in front and behind the camera as it is fantastic to be part of,” Hultén told moviezine.se about joining the cast.

Today DC Comics revealed the cover and solicit for Batman #10 in June teasing that in this issue Batman takes the fight to the Court of Owls and we learn the mastermind behind the secret society.
Scott Snyder and Greg Capullo are the creative team behind this epic new chapter in Batman history.
Who says girls can only be fairies or princesses! These little ladies are looking tough but cute as Wolverine and Captain America! Marvel.com unveiled this teaser heralding Captain Marvel in July 2012. All will be revealed Saturday, March 17 at the Talk To The Hat panel, 4:00PM PST, during WonderCon 2012.
An earlier preview for the cover of Secret Avengers #27, the AvX tie-in showed Captain Marvel bursting out of what appears to be Phoenix energy and flanked on each side by Ms. Marvel and Protector.
Could this mean the entity of death and rebirth could give birth to a resurrected Mar-Vell?
