RACHAEL TAYLOR Joins AKA JESSICA JONES

Marvel and Netflix announced Rachael Taylor will join the upcoming AKA Jessica Jones series.

Taylor will play Patricia “Trish” Walker described as “a syndicated radio talk show host, former model and child TV star known to her adoring fans as “Patsy” Walker. As Jessica Jones’ closest friend, Trish helps her embark on the most dangerous case of Jessica’s career.”

The character of Patsy Walker goes back to before Marvel was Marvel in Miss America Magazine, and later in comics she became costumed crime fighter known as Hellcat.

Fox wants to mutate their X-Men movie franchise into a new television series. If Marvel and Fox reach an agreement which mutants could make the leap to television?

Here are our top candidates for X-TV:

X-Factor

Imagine “mutant noir.”

The long-running series by Peter David would be a fresh quirky take on another side of the Fox’s X-Men universe like Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D. is for the Marvel Avengers Universe.

FOX Plans X-MEN Television Series

The X-Men franchise could mutate into a new television series.

Fox Executives Gary Newman and Dana Walden confirm they’re into talks to develop an X-Men television series spinning off the popular film franchise according to TV Insider.

Twentieth Century Fox controls the film rights to the X-Men. Marvel controls the right to the comic characters which is part of Disney. According to the story Fox would need Disney/Marvel’s approval to move ahead with a television series.

“It’s in negotiations,” Newman said. “We’re cautiously optimistic, we had a good meeting with them. That will not be on a fast track creatively. This is just the deal, now we have to find the creative.” Continue reading FOX Plans X-MEN Television Series

DAVID TENNANT is MARVEL VILLAIN in AKA JESSICA JONES

David Tennant will shed his heroic Time Lord image to play an infamous Marvel villain an upcoming Netflix series.

Marvel announced the actor who played the Tenth Doctor Who has been cast as Zebediah Killgrave (aka The Purple Man) in A.K.A. Jessica Jones. The acclaimed actor is also known for Broadchurch and the U.S. version of the series Gracepoint.

Krysten Ritter is the title hero of the second of five Marvel Netflix series (Daredevil, Luke Cage, Iron Fist, Defenders.)

Jones is a former superhero turned private investigator. In comics Killgrave is a villain from her past with the power to hypnotize victims to his command via pheromones he emits from his skin. PENGUIN Meets NYGMA on GOTHAM

Oswald Cobblepot is on the rise as his former boss Fish Mooney falls on Gotham. The mole is playing mobster against mobster on his bloody path to becoming the infamous Batman villain Penguin.

Robin Lord Taylor teases what’s coming up in his series including a monumental meeting between the two men who will become Penguin and Riddler (played by Cory Michael Smith.)

MELISSA BENOIST Cast As SUPERGIRL

A breakout young actress is set to soar as a DC icon.

Warner Brothers and CBS find their Supergirl.

Melissa Benoist (Glee, Whiplash) has been cast as DC heroine in the CBS television pilot according to The Hollywood Reporter.

Greg Berlanti (Arrow, The Flash) is an executive producer along with his No Ordinary Family partner Ali Adler.
