Producers of the new Supergirl pilot are reaching into the past for their future series.

Dean Cain and Helen Slater will join the CBS pilot in mystery roles according to Deadline. Cain played the Man of Steel in Lois and Clark: The New Adventure of Superman. Slater played Kara in the 1984 Supergirl movie.

Melissa Benoist is playing Kara in the new series. Mehcad Brooks is playing Jimmy Olsen, her love interest. Calista Flockhart will be playing Cat Grant, Kara’s boss in a multimedia company. David Harewood and Chyler Leigh are reportedly in the cast.

Guest stars of Arrow and The Flash are on target for a new spinoff next season.

Fans were expecting a spinoff starring Brandon Routh as Ray Palmer aka The Atom but the new CW series could be even bigger.

The untitled project will be a superhero team-up starring Routh as The Atom, Victor Garber as Dr. Stein of Firestorm, Wentworth Miller as Captain Cold and Caity Lotz who played Sara Lance – the first Black Canary on Arrow.

“I have learned that the network has teamed with Arrow creators Greg Berlanti, Andrew Kreisberg and Marc Guggenheim for a project eyed for next season toplined by Brandon Routh, Victor Garber, Wentworth Miller and Caity Lotz.” said Deadline reporter Nellie Andreeva. Fans are breathing a sigh of relief after the finale of Marvel’s Agent Carter.

Hayley Atwell reprised her role as Peggy Carter in an action-packed adventure filled with Marvel Easter Eggs. Peggy and Edwin Jarvis (James D’Arcy) teamed up for a covert mission to clear Howard Stark’s good name and recover his inventions from Leviathan.

During Peggy’s adventure she reunited with the Howling Commandos, explored the Black Widow program and went up against villains who would become part of Iron Man’s future rogues gallery.

Marvel’s Agent Carter season finale arrives tonight.

Peggy’s mission to clear Howard Stark’s name led to a bigger conspiracy that threatens New York and took the life of a fellow agent.

During the action-packed series Peggy (Hayley Atwell) reunited with the Howling Commandos, discovered the origin of the Black Widow program and some of Iron Man’s enemies. After huge twists, strange alliances and many betrayals Peggy, Jarvis and her S.S.R. allies must stop Leviathan from rising.

The Red Hood Gang hit Gotham but the Joker is still haunting the series in an episode packed with Easter Eggs and homages to DC Comics.
