Constantine is resurrected!

Matt Ryan will reprise his role as John Constantine on The CW’s Arrow according to The Hollywood Reporter.

Ryan originated the role on the short-lived NBC series based on the Vertigo Comics book.

Looks like Oliver Queen will face new evil that take more than arrow and fists to combat. Fans of the Hellblazer will see their dark hero again.

“We are thrilled to have Matt Ryan reprise the role of John Constantine on an upcoming episode of Arrow. Matt is an incredibly talented actor and his portrayal of this beloved character was always something we admired,” said Arrow executive producer Marc Guggenheim. Fox is getting closer to a X-Men television show.

“[For] X-Men, we’re in negotiations with Marvel. We’re hopeful we’ll be able to announce something soon. Barry Allen will have a competitor racing up behind him on the second season of The Flash.

Warner Bros. and The CW announced Keiynan Lonsdale will be joining this season as Wally West.

This character from the Flash Universe became the speedster known as Kid Flash in the Teen Titans and later became The Flash.

DC Comics announced a major casting for DC’s Legends of Tomorrow on The CW. Falk Hentschel has been cast as Carter Hall aka Hawkman on the upcoming spinoff.

The actor will join Ciara Renee who is playing Kendra Saunders aka Hawkgirl. Carter and Kendra are the modern days version of an ancient Egyptian couple.
