Comic book films are packed with heroes, villains, battles and world saving. Gifted actors and directors give us amazingly poignant and powerful performances and moments inspiring cheers and tears.

Heck, I choke up reading comics like Superman #51 above. Heroic moments in Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 2 and Wonder Woman may have inspired you to shed a tear or two.

Before we begin this confessional countdown here’s a minor spoiler alert since this gives away endings of epics so be warned. I’ll give you the movie title first in case.

MUTANTS For THE GIFTED For Your Consideration

Fox’s X-Men franchise evolves with a new television series featuring characters from comics canon.

The Gifted will feature the adventures of a family on the run after the parents learn their children are mutants. Lauren and Andy Strucker and their parents will encounter some familiar characters from comics: Lorna Dane/Polaris, Blink and John Proudstar/Thunderbird/Warpath and a new character called Eclipse.

What other mutants from the X-Men canon could appear in the upcoming show?

Marvel shared a new trailer for Spider-Man: Homecoming showing Peter Parker has a lot to learn. Spidey’s got Stark tech but so does a classic bad guy from his rogues gallery.

The reboot gives us a friendly neighborhood Spidey (Tom Holland) in high school trying to learn his powers, what it takes to be a hero. X-MEN Ready For PHOENIX Return

You could call Jean Grey #2 a Phoenix Force Family Reunion this week.

Jean knows the Phoenix Force is coming back. In this new chapter it’s a telepath power up as Jean unites Quentin Quire, Rachel Grey (now called Prestige in X-Men: Gold) and Hope Summers hoping to find answers as she prepares for the inevitable confrontation with the cosmic entity.  It’s the driving force behind Jean’s first solo ongoing by writer Dennis Hopeless and artist Victor Ibanez.
