Earth’s Mightiest Heroes re-assemble for Avengers: Age of Ultron on May 1st.

Iron Man, Captain America, Thor, Black Widow, Hawkeye are back along with Nick Fury and Maria Hill.

Director Joss Whedon will introduce Quicksilver and Scarlet Witch as our heroes fight the evil A.I. known as Ultron.

STAR WARS LANDO MARVEL Series This Summer

The smoothest man in the galaxy is back in his own comic book series.

Lucasfilm and Marvel announced Lando Calrissian will star in a limited series by Charles Soule (Death of Wolverine, Uncanny Inhumans) and Alex Maleev (Daredevil) coming in July.

“Is Lando Calrissian the coolest character in all of Star Wars? Depends on who you ask, probably. But if you ask me, the answer is yes, and I plan to prove it with this story,” writer Soule told StarWars.com.

SCARLETT JOHANSSON & MARVEL Have Talked BLACK WIDOW Movies

You could call Scarlett Johansson Marvel’s utility player having appeared in Iron Man 2, Avengers, Captain America: The Winter Soldier and soon in Avengers: Age of Ultron.

What about a solo film for Black Widow?

While there isn’t one on the massive schedule of Marvel Studios movies, the actress says she and President Kevin Feige have discussed it.

“I’ve spoken to Kevin about it. I mean, of course, of course we’ve had that conversation before, and I think Kevin would also like to see a standalone film. I think I can speak for him and say that. That’s all, really. Right now I think this character is used well in this part of the universe, but I think that Kevin—I mean, we’ve talked about it and we both share similar vision for what could be a standalone series.” Johansson told Collider.

What would Thor do?

During an interview for Avengers: Age of Ultron, Chris Hemsworth was asked which side Thor will take in Captain America: Civil War.

Based on the classic comic storyline, Steve Rogers and Tony Stark are deeply divided after the government passes the superhero registration act.

With Chris Evans cheering, “come on, bro” , Hemsworth make his choice.

“Thor and Tony, we have our differences so…” (points to Evans) …you’re my boy blue,” he declared on IGN.

New Director for WONDER WOMAN

Warner Brothers recruits a new director for Wonder Woman.

Patty Jenkins (Monster, The Killing) has signed a deal to helm the solo female superhero film according to The Hollywood Reporter.

Jenkins was at one point up to direct Thor 2 for DC rival Marvel Studios. Today’s announcement comes after the studio and Michelle MacLaren (Breaking Bad, Game of Thrones) announced creative differences and she exited the project. Continue reading New Director for WONDER WOMAN

Psylocke has one of the most unusual evolutions in X-Men history. What newer fans may not know is the Asian psi-ninja warrior is not what she seems.

This week director Bryan Singer revealed Olivia Munn will play Betsy Braddock in X-Men: Apocalypse. Fans questioned which version of Psylocke will appear in the sequel: the British (caucasian) telepath or the Japanese psychic ninja?

In 90’s Betsy’s mind was merged with the body of a dead assassin for The Hand.

Bryan Singer announced Olivia Munn will play Betsy Braddock in X-Men: Apocalypse. The star of The Newsroom, Magic Mike has a resume packed with fanboy and girl geek cred including Attack of the Show, Chuck.

Who is Psylocke?

Elizabeth “Betsy” Braddock was the sister of Captain Britain and a mutant precognitive and telepath created by Chris Claremont as part of the Marvel UK line then brought into the X-Men. Abducted into the Mojoverse, Betsy was given bionic eyes by the sorceress Spiral and first received the code-name Psylocke.
