One of the biggest surprise announcements at San Diego Comic-Con is crossover of some very different crime fighters.

DC Entertainment and IDW Publishing announced their latest crossover miniseries during IDW’s panel:

BATMAN: THE KILLING JOKE Animated Movie

What many fans calling the ultimate Joker story will become an animated movie.

DC Entertainment/Warner Bros. revealed the three DC Universe Original Movies coming in 2016, including an adaptation of the classic, Batman: The Killing Joke.

The big news followed a world premiere at San Diego Comic-Con with Bruce Timm’s latest animated movie, Justice League: Gods and Monsters, featuring Timm’s radical new take on Justice League icons.

Batman: The Killing Joke is the classic graphic novel written by Alan Moore and drawn by Brian Bolland with a potential (but not exactly trustworthy) origin for the Joker. STAR WARS: THE FORCE AWAKENS Comic-Con Reel

Fans at San Diego Comic-Con’s Hall H and now the world now have this special look behind the scenes of Star Wars:The Force Awakens.

Director J.J. Abrams, producer and Lucasfilm President Kathleen Kennedy and writer Lawrence Kasdan prepared this moving feature showing the creation of the eagerly awaited new chapter in the beloved saga.

The filmmakers were joined on stage by cast members Daisy Ridley, John Boyega, Adam Driver, Oscar Isaac, Domhnall Gleeson, Gwendoline Christie, Mark Hamill, Carrie Fisher and Harrison Ford to the surprise of fans at SDCC.

BEN AFFLECK & GEOFF JOHNS For BATMAN Film?

Looks like future Dark Knight will cast a huge, long shadow across the DC Comics Movie Universe.

Ben Affleck is in talks to star, write and direct a solo Batman film and DC Chief Creative Officer Geoff Johns will co-write according to Deadline.

Oscar-winning actress Halle Berry is at San Diego Comic-Con to promote the return of her sci-fi hit series Extant.

X-fans will see Berry in the upcoming X-Men: Days of Future Past – The Rogue Cut but would love to hear her say she’s playing Ororo one more time.

Alexandra Shipp is playing a younger version of the future mutant hero in X-Men: Apocalypse which is set in the 1980’s.

StarWars.com announced the next adventure in the Anthology series of Star Wars films will be directed by Christopher Miller and Phil Lord. Gal Gadot is playing a DC icon, Amazon warrior and the link to the future of the DC movie universe?

The Israeli actress is playing Diana Prince in Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice on March 25, 2016 and soon starts filming Wonder Woman then Justice League, Part One hitting screens in 2017.

Wonder Woman will be the first comic book superhero to headline her own film in decades and first in this new age where Marvel and DC duke it out for box-office supremacy.

“She plays a super-important part,” Snyder told Entertainment Weekly,” In a lot of ways, she’s the gateway drug to the rest of the Justice League.”

Accepted the mission to write new James Bond comics from Dynamite Entertainment and Ian Fleming Publications Ltd.

Acclaimed writer Ellis (Global Frequency, Red, The Authority, Stormwatch) and artist Jason Masters  (Wolverines) are the creative team on James Bond 007. The revealing of the creative team comes 9 months after the first announcement Dynamite and Ian Fleming Publications Ltd. would collaborate on new 007-inpsired comics.
