Deadpool and Cable: Split Second #1

The Merc With a Mouth reunites with Cyclops’ cyborg future son. Back in the 90’s Wade and Cable co-starred in a “buddy” adventure. Fabian Nicieza and Reilly Brown throw in time travel, Hydra and a new villain in this digital first limited series but what about Deadpool and Cable? Is the bromance back or will they be mortal enemies again?

Lazarus #21

The welcome return of Greg Rucka and Michael Lark’s sci-fi epic after a break while Rucka launched Black Magick (issue 3 is also out this week.) This is the finale of the current arc that changes everything. Forever is born to kill and fight for her family – one of 16 that rule the future. Black Panther

After playing a central role as King of the Dead and The Illuminati in Jonathan Hickman’s New Avengers/Secret Wars epic, T’Challa returns to his Wakanda in a brand new series and officially joins the Marvel Cinematic Universe.

T’Challa and Namor are leading an assault on Doctor Doom in Secret Wars #9 finale in January and T’Challa is now a member of the new Ultimates.

Missing Daisy Johnson (aka Quake) now that Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D. is on break after the massive midseason finale: Maveth?

Daisy’s comic book counterpart turned up with a new role in comics in this week’s All-New Inhumans #2 by James Asmus, Charles Soule and Stefano Caselli.

Crystal is a member of the Attilan Royal Family and acting as an Ambassador to the world. The former Avenger and ex-wife of Quicksilver is confident and cool leading a squad of veteran and new Inhumans around the globe to protect NuHumans and show the rest of the humanity they have nothing to fear. X-MEN APOCALYPSE WARS Behind The Battles

Marvel announced the return of the X-Men’s immortal enemy in Apocalypse Wars. In 2016 En Sabah Nur will strike in Extraordinary X-Men #8, Uncanny X-Men #6 and All-New X-Men #9.

Three months, three chapters starring En Sabah Nur but this is not the crossover you may be expecting. Readers will have go to way back to Fall of the Mutants to see part of the inspiration for this thematic events.

The films introduces a young Jean Grey who sees a vision of the immortal mutant’s wrath on Earth.

This is our first look at Oscar Isaac in action as En Sabah Nur…first mutant who believes “only the strong survive” and has four Horsemen to enforce his bidding including a younger version of Storm, Psylocke, Magneto and a new Angel but this time as Archangel.
