Michael Shannon (Boardwalk Empire) plays Superman villain General Zod in Man of Steel. The indie actor known for his creepy roles is featured in this month’s GQ.  Shannon was asked if Zod is pure evil or will the audience feel any empathy or sympathy for the revolutionary from a destroyed planet.

“Well, I don’t think I’m gonna make anybody cry. When I saw it as a kid, Terence Stamp was just stone-cold terrifying. But you’re never really sure Continue reading Michael Shannon on Zod in MAN OF STEEL

Quicksilver and Scarlet Witch are the children of Magneto created as villains in the X-Men comics but went on to become longtime members of Earth’s Mightiest Heroes.

The next Disney vs. Fox characters in question could be The Inhumans. Disney controls the Avengers. Fox controls film rights to The Fantastic Four which is currently being rebooted.

Disney is still in negotiations with Robert Downey Jr. about reprising his role as Tony Stark in Avengers 2 (and beyond ?) but for director Joss Whedon it appears to be a done deal as he explains to The Daily Beast.

“He is Iron Man. He is Iron Man in the way that Sean Connery was James Bond. I have no intention of making Avengers 2 without him, nor do I think I’ll be called upon to do that. I don’t think it’s in my interest, Marvel’s interest, or his interest, and I think everything will be fine. But I know that this is Hollywood and you roll with things. You have to be ready for the unexpected. But I loved working with Robert, and everybody knows Continue reading Joss Whedon on Robert Downey Jr and AVENGERS 2
