Elizabeth Olsen Excited To Play Scarlet Witch in AVENGERS Sequel

Elizabeth Olsen is expressing her excitement about playing Scarlet Witch in Avengers: Age of Ultron. Marvel made it official: Olsen as Wanda Maximoff and Aaron Taylor-Johnson is her brother Pietro aka Quicksilver.

Just days after the anniversary of the assassination of President John F. Kennedy –  20th Century Fox unveils a viral video marketing site connecting Magneto to the historical event.

 

TheBentBullet.com is called “a fictional experience from the world of X-Men: Days of Future Past.”

 

From the website:

 

“Half a century ago, Magneto was implicated in the mutant plot to assassinate President John F. Kennedy. The events of that fateful day in November have been a point on contention humans and the mutant race ever since.”

Director James Mangold is working on a potential sequel to The Wolverine. Hugh Jackman’s latest solo X-Man film was based upon the classic limited series by Chris Claremont and Frank Miller. While discussing the upcoming extended edition of the movie, the director says the sequel will also take inspiration from comic book stories.

 

“Absolutely. I can tell you that in determining where we are going I’m not solely relying on my own imagination but also the imaginations that have spun great stories about Wolverine in the comics,” Mangold told I Am Rogue.

After months of speculation and hints Marvel makes it official.

 

Aaron Taylor-Johnson and Elizabeth Olsen are joining the cast of Avengers: Age of Ultron as Pietro and Wanda Maximoff (aka) Quicksilver and Scarlet Witch. The mutant children of Magneto were introduced in the X-Men comic books as villains but reformed and joined Earth’s Mightiest Heroes. Quicksilver has the power of superspeed while Scarlet Witch has a mutant “hex” power in which she can alter probabilities. Later in the comics, she studies witchcraft.
