The hit multiplayer video game Destiny takes players to ancient ruins of the solar system in a quest to save Earth’s last city. The creative minds behind the game are coming to the Emerald City for the biggest pop culture event in the Pacific Northwest that’s attracting fans from across the country.

Emerald City Comicon 2015 is just one week away. The Seattle celebration of comics and pop culture is completely sold out.

Hayley Atwell (Agent Carter) and Chloe Bennet (Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D.) are making their first official convention appearances.

Clark Gregg of Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D., Anthony Mackie of Captain America: The Winter Soldier, John Barrowman of Arrow, and Steve Yuen of The Walking Dead are among the major celebrity guests on the roster. Sci-fi legends Anthony Daniels, Marina Sirtis and Amanda Tapping will be here for photos, panels and autographs, too. Plus, the one and only Stan Lee returns to Seattle. Carol Danvers will lead a strike force over the skies of Battleworld in a new Secret Wars: Warzones book.

Marvel announced Captain Marvel and the Carol Corps by writers Kelly Sue DeConnick, Kelly Thompson and artist David Lopez.

The book introduces a new Captain Marvel. In the birth of Battleworld a new Marvel reality and Carol Danvers emerges.

“This is our Carol if the situation had been different,” DeConnick told Marvel.com. “She comes from a different world, but her personality traits are essentially the same.”

“All the core stuff is the same,” Thompson added. “She’s got powers. She’s a hero. She’s a pilot. I think that is one of the things I find most interesting about [this series] actually.
