Seattle’s EMP Museum will celebrate the world premiere of Rebel, Jedi, Princess, Queen: Star Wars™ and the Power of Costume with a grand opening celebration at EMP on January 30, 2015.

Anthony Daniels who played C-3PO will be travel to the Emerlad City for the party.

EMP will transform into a fully-operational interplanetary hub, bringing together fans and Star Wars enthusiasts of every generation for an evening of epic intergalactic activities.

Fans can explore the exhibition (making a world premiere in the Emerald City) and enjoy special guests including Daniels, a DJ set by Vox Mod, live performance by D20 Brass Band, spotlight talks, photo ops, and fan-centered activities like gaming, costume contests, drink specials and more surprises. EMERALD CITY COMICON Joins REEDPOP

Seattle’s Emerald City Comicon’s record growth leads to a big partnership just months before the big comic book event. ReedPOP is the world’s largest producer of pop culture events and is getting bigger with the biggest comic book show in the Pacific Northwest.

The company announces that Emerald City Comicon the ‘premiere comic book and pop culture convention in the Pacific Northwest’ has joined its family of leading experiential fan events. The 2015 Wizard World Tour comes back to Portland with its third trip to the Oregon Convention Center at Wizard World Portland Comic Con, January 23-25. RED LIGHTNING Super Hero Make-A-Wish Day

Nick Looney is a second grader fighting cancer but he became Red Lightning today thanks to Make-A-Wish.

After two years of battling a disease, Nick fulfilled his dream of becoming a superhero.

Thanks Nick for your bravery and Red Lightning for saving Seattle’s music scene. Macklemore was among the Seattle music icons who sent thank you messages to the young hero.
