A new Iron Man arrives for the Marvel Now!

Marvel announced via Time that Riri Williams will become the new star of Invincible Iron Man. The new character will armor up when Tony Stark is out in the aftermath of Civil War II.

There’s no official word yet on if Stark will quit, be forced out or possibly die in the superhero conflict.

Riri is an African-American teen genius at MIT who grabs Stark’s attention when she builds her own Iron Man suit…in her dorm.

CAPTAIN JACK In New TORCHWOOD Comic Debuting at SDCC

Breakout Doctor Who companion Captain Jack is back in a new ongoing Torchwood comic book series co-written by John Barrowman.

BBC Worldwide and Titan Comics announced the new series will debut at this year’s San Diego Comic-Con, with special guests including Captain Jack himself, John Barrowman, and Carole E. Barrowman.

US AVENGERS of MARVEL NOW

Just in time for Independence Day Marvel unveiled: U.S. AVENGERS from writer Al Ewing and artist Paco Medina. This is one of the new books in the upcoming Marvel NOW! initiative.

The lineup will include: Cannonball, Squirrel Girl, Red Hulk, a new Iron Patriot and Captain America (a grown up Danielle Cage from the future) and Roberto Da Costa, the former New Mutant who bought A.I.M. (Advanced Idea Mechanics) and formed his own New Avengers team. This new book is the next evolution of the young billionaire’s vision.

DIVIDED WE STAND Is the Future of MARVEL NOW!

Midnighter and Apollo together again in a brand new limited series this Fall.

The superhero lovers reunited in the final issue of Midnighter but the two former Stormwatch operatives & Authority founding members were MIA from the DC Rebirth initiative.

DC Comics announced the openly gay heroes will return in a new six issue book this fall:
