Writer Jeff Lemire and artist Humberto Ramos delivered the latest chapter of Apocalypse Wars while giving another ominous warning about a threat that’s been building since their first issue.

Storm, Iceman, Jean Grey, Logan, Nightcrawler and Cerebra are trapped a thousand years in the future after pursuing hundreds of mutant embryos. In this Omega World Colossus had been transformed into a Horseman of Apocalypse.

DC Comics previewed what’s next for the Batman family of books at San Diego Comic-Con with new art at San Diego Comic Con.

Following up his Batman run, writer Scott Snyder will launch ALL-STAR BATMAN next month with top artists and focusing on the Dark Knight’s Rogues Gallery.

My Own Worst Enemy is the first story arc featuring Two-Face with artist John Romita Jr. Batman will be handcuffed to Two-Face on a cross country road trip to a possible cure for the villain he once called friend Harvey Dent. Every assassin, bounty hunter, ordinary citizen with something to hide, and “even a Bat-ally” will be chasing them down with one goal: Kill the Batman. AFTER CIVIL WAR II, WHO WILL TAKE THE OATH?

Civil War II is far from over. No one can predict who or if there will really be a winner. But the epilogue is being written.

After the first Civil War, there was The Confession, two talks between Tony Stark and Steve Rogers. One after Captain America’s surrender. The other after Cap’s death with just Tony.

In the spirit of The ConfessionMarvel announced Civil War II: The Oath by Nick Spencer and Rod Reis. In the epilogue to the current superhero showdown, Captain Marvel and Iron Man turn to the friend they both trust most, Captain America.

But this isn’t the Steve Rogers they’ve known and trusted. It’s Steve Rogers, Hydra operative.

Nick Spencer is the writer responsible for the controversial change in Rogers and he will craft this important chapter following this summer’s big event.
