We decided to honor these female characters without powers, costumes or code-names.

We love Batwoman, Batgirl, Harley Quinn, The Spoiler and Elektra but we are focusing on the strong women of science, government, law and order and strong in character.

In the near future, the X-Man looking like his Old Man Logan cares for an ailing Professor X. Logan’s attempts to hide from the world and his past are torn away when a young mutant arrives hunted by a squad of soldiers.

DARK HERON Returns To EMERALD CITY COMICON

A Seattle born superhero shares her code-name with a beer crafted with comics inspiration. She’s back for a milestone event.

After crazy fun days of cosplaying, celebrity sightings and comic book collecting at Emerald City Comicon fans may need a break with a brew. Dark Heron returns to save the day.

ReedPOP and Fremont Brewing of Seattle, Washington announced they are bringing back the Dark Heron, an exclusive brew created as the Official Beer of Emerald City Comicon 2017. The Dark Heron will be rebooted with a new flavor and new artwork provided by local Seattle cartoonist, Jen Vaughn. The IPA was created to tap into the expressive spirit of the heroine and the comic fans who will swarm Seattle for ECCC’s 15th anniversary.
