With the global launch of X-Men: Days of Future Past behind him there’s no rest for Simon Kinberg. The producer/writer is on the set of the Fantastic Four reboot. Movie franchises starring the Children of the Atom and Marvel’s First Family are both controlled by Fox.

 

In a new interview Kinberg tells The Daily Beast the tone of the Fantastic Four will be different:

THE FLASH Mystery Role Revealed

John Wesley Shipp will be playing Barry Allen’s father in the upcoming series The Flash on The CW. He played the Scarlet Speedster in a short-lived CBS series in the 1990’s. Grant Gustin will play the DC Comics hero in the upcoming series.

 

“Given his history with The Flash, Andrew [Kreisberg], Geoff [Johns] and I could only think of one person we wanted to play Barry’s father and that was John Wesley Shipp,” executive producer Greg Berlanti told The Hollywood Reporter The Live Feed. “He gives a fantastic and emotional performance in the pilot, and we are looking forward to his presence in many more episodes.” Continue reading THE FLASH Mystery Role Revealed
