THE NEXT WOLVERINE Part 3
After reading Wolverine #9, the next to last chapter of Three Months to Die, I thought about my next and maybe best candidate for the next Wolverine. No one can replace James Howlett aka Logan but will someone take up the code-name and carry on the X-Man’s legacy?
After Logan’s literal dance with “Death” in this week’s issue I thought of the perfect hero become the next Wolverine.
Laura Kinney aka X-23.
Laura is a clone created from Logan’s DNA (his X-gene to be specific) in a section of the Weapon X program. Born in blood, bred to be an assassin and reborn a hero – Laura would be a student at Xavier’s but would later be recruited (against Logan’s wishes) for the X-Force. X-MEN Director Almost Directed CASINO ROYALE?
Matthew Vaughn gave X-Men: First Class a sense of 1960’s James Bondian intrigue mixed with mutant drama. Vaughn directed Kingsman: The Secret Service, the new espionage film based on the comic book series by Mark Millar and Dave Gibbons.

Whether you love or loathe – isn’t it exciting that fans are passionate about this longtime X-Man’s fate?
That’s the power of a writer like Bendis. I don’t like to categorize characters as A to Z because to some readers that hero is beloved. (Somewhere someone is hoping for a Maggot resurrection!) I like to say there are front burner or marquee characters and there are back burner characters. Unfortunately some heroes are so far back they’re practically in the freezer. The studio released a chilling viral video with an ending that could send shivers in the hearts of fans.
Jennifer Lawrence (X-Men: Days of Future Past) returns as Katniss Everdeen but the new video features the villainous President Snow (Donald Sutherland) addressing his citizens via Capitol TV with a special guest by his side in the final moments.

Karen Gillan (Doctor Who, Oculus) will play the villain Nebula in Marvel’s Guardians of the Galaxy but she may have her sights on another Marvel role…a hero.
“I want to play a version of Spider-Man that’s a lady,” Gillan told SFX.
