The CW is recruiting a new DC Comics icon to join new series The Flash. Robbie Amell (The Tomorrow People) will Ronnie Raymond (aka Firestorm) according to TV Guide.
Amell is the cousin of Arrow star Stephen Amell. Barry Allen (Grant Gustin) guest starred on Arrow before fast tracking into his own series. The Zero Year finale is coming this month. Scott Snyder and Greg Capullo’s origin story the Dark Knight in The New 52 wraps up in Batman #33. Spider-Man 2099 comes out slinging in his own solo series this week. Peter David (All-New X-Factor) created Miguel O’Hara back in the 1990’s as part of Marvel’s 2099 line (which included X-Men, Punisher and Doom 2099.)
In the pages of Superior Spider-Man – O’Hara landed in our present day last year. Now Miguel i is stranded in the past but determined to fix the future. David is spinning new stories of the future Spidey with artist Will Sliney (Fearless Defenders) with covers by Simone Bianchi.
