Marvel announces a new Star Wars comic book that ties into the Star Wars: Rebels animated series at New York Comic Con.

 

Star Wars – Kanan: The Last Padawan explores the origin of Kanan Jarrus. Star Wars: Rebels Executive Producer Greg Weisman will launch the series starring the renegade. GUARDIANS OF THE GALAXY: THE BLACK VORTEX

Marvel announces an epic crossover event uniting the space-facing, cosmic and young mutants when an ancient alien artifact emerges.

 

Guardians of the Galaxy: The Black Vortex will have two bookends and runs through Guardians of the Galaxy, Legendary Star-Lord, All-New X-Men, Cyclops, Captain Marvel and Nova.

PEGGY CARTER, HOWARD STARK in OPERATION S.I.N.

Blast into the past with new adventures starring Peggy Carter, Howard Stark and Woodrow Call. Marvel announced Operation S.I.N. by Kathryn Immonen and Rich Ellis at New York Comic Con.

 

The Cold War drama finds Carter and Stark (from Captain America: The Winter Soldier and upcoming Agent Carter series) in a race against Hydra to find an alien artifact. Woodrow McCord (Nick Fury’s predecessor as the “Man on the Wall” from Original Sin) joins the duo in in globe-trotting battle that takes them into Russia. New ANT-MAN Comic By NICK SPENCER

Big plans for Marvel’s smallest hero.

 

At New York Comic Con, Editor-In-Chief Axel Alonso Ant-Man will get a brand new series by writer Nick Spencer (Avengers World, Superior Foes of Spider-Man) and artist Ramon Rosanas.

 

The new series will star Scott Lang (recently part of FF) but Alonso says they “have a plan” for Hank Pym citing the founding Avenger’s long history and saying “he’s valued.”

 

Paul Rudd will play Lang in the Ant-Man movie coming in 2015. Michael Douglas plays Hank Pym.

Death of Wolverine #4 and Death of Wolverine: The Logan Legacy #1 (of 7) by Charles Soule both arrive this week.

 

Newly Marvel exclusive Soule is not through with the X-Man.

 

At the New York Comic Con Death of Wolverine panel Marvel announced a new Wolverines series by Soule  Ray Fawkes and artist Nick Bradshaw.
