The path to Secret Wars begins with Time Runs Out in Avengers and New Avengers.

The plan goes way back to when writer Jonathan Hickman took over the adventures of Earth’s Mightiest Heroes and the Illuminati.

It all leads to Marvel’s big event of 2015 when heroes from multiple Earths clash in Secret Wars.

Time Runs Out is playing out in a near future with heroes vs. heroes as the final Incursion is coming to smash Earth out of existence.

DONNA TROY Returns In CONVERGENCE

Convergence is the 2015 event bringing back heroes and villains from multiple Earths and continuities. Brainiac collects lost Earths in bottles like Kandor until he opens them on a mysterious planet. The teaser starring new villain Telos and characters from classic DC eras inspired fans to wonder which classic heroes will finally enter The New 52 continuity.

ARROW Shows KATIE CASSIDY Suited Up As BLACK CANARY

The CW revealed a first look at Katie Cassidy suited up as Black Canary via Twitter.

Fans have speculated if her character Dinah Laurel Lance will become her DC Comics alter ego.

The secret identity was used by Dinah’s sister Sara in Season Two but she was killed in the first episode of the current third season.

AVENGERS: AGE OF ULTRON Extended Trailer

More machine menace in the Avengers: Age of Ultron extended trailer.

This new version gives us more footage and insight into Ultron’s ultimate plan against Earth’s Mightiest Heroes.

It’s very similar to the first trailer showing Iron Man, Captain America, Thor, Black Widow, Hulk and Hawkeye in global action against the evil A.I. his robot army and turning on earth other.

Plus, Hydra experiments Quicksilver and Scarlet Witch – friends or foes or Ultron or will they embrace their comic book destinies and join the team?

A new Seattle Superhero is born this week!

From our friends at Make-A-Wish:

“Superheroes come in all shapes and sizes – from caped crusaders protecting cities to children like seven-year-old Nick, who is fearlessly battling acute lymphoblastic leukemia.

It’s a super romantic triangle but it’s the fans who could be swooning or heartbroken.

In The New 52 Superman is not married to Lois Lane but in love with Wonder Woman.

Could DC Comics be splitting up the super couple to put Lois and Clark back together?

It all started with the iconic kiss in Justice League #12. Even non-comic book readers were asking, “what about Lois?!”

Convergence will be a major event in 2015 featuring heroes and villains from decades of DC continuity. Inside SPIDER-MAN AND THE X-MEN #1

Marvel shared a first look inside Spider-Man and the X-Men #1.

Spider-Man is keeping a promise to Wolverine by joining the Jean Grey School as the new guidance counselor and undercover operative in a brand new series.

Before he died, Wolverine asked Parker to uncover a conspiracy within the school. It’s up to Spidey to find out which student is not what they seem.

With students like Shark Girl, Eye Boy and Quentin Quire – former odd teenager Peter Parker should find a way to connect with the kids. What will Storm and the adult X-Men think of Spidey joining the school?
