New SQUADRON SUPREME Book After SECRET WARS

The Squadron Supreme are back in a brand new Marvel series this fall following their Secret Wars Battleworld book.

Marvel announced James Robinson and Leonard Kirk (Fantastic Four) will launch the new series starring Hyperion, Nighthawk and more heroes from the other worlds of the now dead multiverse.

Hyperion was a new member of Jonathan Hickman’s Avengers run. Various versions of this team have starred in different takes on the team from old school Avengers to Supreme Power to The Great Society in Hickman’s epic. Continue reading New SQUADRON SUPREME Book After SECRET WARS

It’s a new creative team, new look  and weapons for Earth’s Sorcerer Supreme as part of the All-New, All-Different Marvel Now.

Doctor Strange stars in his own solo series this fall by Jason Aaron and Chris Bachalo (the creative team that launched Wolverine and the X-Men).

Aaron worked his magic of Thor and now he’s taking on the Master of the Mystic Arts. The creative team reveal how they will define the Sorcerer Supreme and the challenges they face.

Marvel revealed Morales will star in a brand new  Spider-Man by Brian Michael Bendis and Sara Pichelli and be on the All-New, All-Different Avengers when Secret Wars ends.

Ultimate Spider-Man original team Bendis and Mark Bagley are crafting Ultimate End, the five-part limited series tied to Secret Wars that is the final Ultimate story.

AGENT CARTER SHOWRUNNERS Are New CAPTAIN MARVEL WRITERS

Marvel revealed the new creative team for Captain Marvel. They recruited the women behind the acclaimed Agent Carter television series.

Kelly Sue DeConnick announced she’s leaving the book after transforming Carol Danvers into Captain Marvel, inspiring the Carol Corps fan base and taking the Avenger to new creative heights.

The showrunners of Marvel’s Agent Carter will be the new writers of Captain Marvel revealed in Fast Company.

A huge week of Spider-Man news continues as Marvel and Sony reveal the star and director of the movie reboot.

Tom Holland (The Impossible) is the new Peter Parker. Jon Watts (Cop Car) is directing.

Here’s the official Marvel announcement:

“Sony Pictures and Marvel Studios are proud to announce that after a full worldwide casting search, Tom Holland will play Peter Parker/Spider-Man in the next Spider-Man film, in theaters in IMAX and 3D on July 28, 2017.  The film will be directed by Jon Watts, director of “Cop Car,” the upcoming thriller that made its debut earlier this year at the Sundance Film Festival. One of the most radical reinventions of the Children of the Atom is born again in as the Secret Wars event continues this week.

X-Men in black leather, Professor X’s evil twin sister “outed” him, Emma Frost joined the team, Beast went feline and kids with some of the weirdest mutations and appearances join the school.

It was the New X-Men era by writer Grant Morrison and artist Frank Quitely. E is for Extinction was the first game-changing arc (Cassandra Nova emerges and kills millions of mutants on Genosha) and the title of the new Secret Wars tie-in book this week.
