DC Entertainment showed a sizzle reel for the return of Arrow, The Flash and the debut of Legends of Tomorrow on The CW at Comic-Con in San Diego.

The “Hero Evolution” includes profiles of the heroes and villains recruited by Rip Hunter for DC’s Legends of Tomorrow.  The Time Master recruits a team to battle a classic DC villain.

New INHUMAN Joining AGENTS OF SHIELD

Fans are excited the Secret Warriors are coming to Marvel’s Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D. next season but the big news at the SDCC Marvel Television Panel was about a new villain.

Marvel TV’s Jeph Loeb announced comics villain Lash is coming to the series this season but no actor has been cast yet.

Lash was co-created by Charles Soule and Joe Maduirera in the Inhuman comic book. This powerful Inhuman from a secret city emerged after Terrigenesis spread across the Earth creating NuHumans. Lash sees himself as judge of which new Inhumans were worthy of having powers. Lash came into instant conflict with Queen Medusa who gave refuge to the NuHumans. One of the biggest surprise announcements at San Diego Comic-Con is crossover of some very different crime fighters.

DC Entertainment and IDW Publishing announced their latest crossover miniseries during IDW’s panel:

BATMAN: THE KILLING JOKE Animated Movie

What many fans calling the ultimate Joker story will become an animated movie.

DC Entertainment/Warner Bros. revealed the three DC Universe Original Movies coming in 2016, including an adaptation of the classic, Batman: The Killing Joke.

The big news followed a world premiere at San Diego Comic-Con with Bruce Timm’s latest animated movie, Justice League: Gods and Monsters, featuring Timm’s radical new take on Justice League icons.

Batman: The Killing Joke is the classic graphic novel written by Alan Moore and drawn by Brian Bolland with a potential (but not exactly trustworthy) origin for the Joker. SUPERMAN JUSTICE, AMERICAN ALIEN, COMING OF THE SUPERMEN at COMIC-CON

Fans are seeing major changes in The Man of Steel with the new storyline Truth. DC Comics revealed big news and big new projects starring Superman at San Diego Comic-Con.

The legendary Neal Adams kicked off the Man of Steel panel announcing his plans for COMING OF THE SUPERMEN. This six-issue limited series will be in the spirit of his BATMAN: ODYSSEY miniseries.

“This story pits Superman against the evil Darkseid and his son, brutal Kalibak. But this time he has help from an unlikely place: Three national heroes from the city of Kandor (now known as New Krypton) who see Superman as a legend. JUSTICE LEAGUE: GODS AND MEN Corrupted Heroes in Darkseid War

Justice League writer Geoff Johns revealed the aftermath of the Darkseid War in his One on One panel at San Diego Comic-Con. A series of one-shots starring DC’s biggest heroes will spin out of his current story arc.

Coming this October, JUSTICE LEAGUE: GODS AND MEN will be a series of six single issues focusing on key characters in the Darkseid War and extends their individual conflicts against the backdrop of universal Armageddon, with Darkseid squaring off against the Anti-Monitor:

The 75th Anniversary of Robin is on and the party kicked off at San Diego Comic-Con with two huge announcements:

The ROBIN WAR crossover and BATMAN & ROBIN ETERNAL, the new big weekly series.

DC Entertainment will celebrate the Boy Wonder with five new and returning comics commemorating multiple incarnations of the iconic sidekick.

Marvel announced Chewbacca will star in his own comic book via MTV News.

Writer Gerry Duggan (Deadpool) and artist Phil Noto (Black Widow, Star Wars: Shattered Empire) will be creative team on the upcoming Star Wars: Chewbacca limited series.
