UPDATED with news about a second Spider-Man book coming this fall:

Marvel gave fans a sigh of relief and jolt of excitement at Comic-Con as they revealed more new books coming in October as part of the All-New, All-Different Marvel Now.

During the Women of Marvel panel, the publisher confirmed The Unbeatable Squirrel Girl will return with a new volume by current creators Ryan North and Erica Henderson.

Blade will return in a new series with a teenage girl as the lead character by Tim Seeley and Logan Faerber. ZOOM, JAY GARRICK on THE FLASH Season Two

Two new characters from DC Comics canon hit The Flash season two.

At the “Warner Bros. Television Presents A Night of DC Entertainment” Comic-Con panel producers revealed Teddy Sears (Masters of Sex) will play Jay Garrick this season.

In the comics, Garrick was the very first Flash, and is known for his winged silver helmet. Careful watchers may have glimpsed briefly in the Season One finale.

The newest hero to leap into the DC Comics/CW universe is Vixen.

DC Comics shared this first look at the Vixen animated web series on CWSeed at Comic-Con.

Mari Jiwe McCabe grew in the fictional African country of Zambesi. McCabe’s family were holders of a mystical totem but her uncle killed her parents and stole the totem.

Mari escaped to America, became an international supermodel, built a fortune and traveled to her homeland to take back her family’s legacy and totem that gives her the power to mimic abilities of animals and became known as “Vixen.”

This new heroine is on a collision course with Arrow and The Flash.

The Milestone Universe returns in Earth-M.

Reggie Hudlin and Denys Cowan will team up with Jim Lee and Geoff Johns to bring the roster of culturally and ethnically diverse characters back to DC Universe with original graphic novels, one Shots, and miniseries

DC Entertainment’s Co-Publisher Jim Lee, producer/director Reginald Hudlin and Milestone Media co-founder/artist Denys Cowan announced the creation of “Earth-M,” which will be home to the “Dakota” universe of characters from 1993’s Milestone Media and a host of all new characters. Grant Morrison announced two big new projects for DC Entertainment during his “Multiversity and Beyond” panel at Comic-Con San Diego.

Here’s the official announcement:

Morrison revealed “MULTIVERSITY TOO,” a line of original graphic novels based on his groundbreaking and bestselling titles from “The Multiversity” series of monthly comics and his “MULTIVERSITY GUIDEBOOK.” Fans will experience stories from throughout the 52 (or more?) worlds that make up Morrison’s Map of the Multiverse and whether it’s the further adventures of Earth-4’s PAX AMERICANA, the New Reichsmen of Earth-10, the female-led Justice Guild of Earth-11 or even one of the seven “unknown worlds,” everything is fair game! Marvel announced the first Star Wars comics crossover at Comic-Con International.

Star Wars: Vader Down #1 will be the standalone issue by Jason Aaron and Kieron Gillen with art by Mike Deodato and Salvador Larroca with covers by Mark Brooks.
