After seeing Steve Rogers and Bucky Barnes at war in Captain America: The Winter Soldier you may be ready for a rematch.

Steve and Bucky (as Winter Soldier) are currently working together again in the pages of All-New Invaders by James Robinson.

Bucky has gone from friend to brainwashed enemy to ally and now he may the only person Cap can trust.

Robinson assembled the World War II era allies (including Namor the Sub-Mariner and Jim Hammond the original Human Torch) for the new series. The  All-New Invaders will be wrapped into this year’s big event Original Sin – as Marvel heroes race to find out who killed The Watcher and recover the ancient alien’s powerful secrets.

Steve will remember some buried memories due to events in Original Sin which makes him question every friend and ally.

“He doesn’t trust all of them. I don’t think anyone can trust Namor completely. Not because of anything necessarily utterly complicitous, but he is possibly the most mercurial hero character in the Marvel Universe. So you can never quite tell what he’s planning or what his goals are. But at the same time, as he’ll point out to Jim Hammond down the line, what they did together is…not saving his soul, but doing the right thing to feel good about some of the other decisions that he made in his life as ruler of Atlantis,” Robinson told Marvel.com.

Does Captain America trust the Winter Soldier? Yeah, he trusts Bucky completely. Does he trust Jim Hammond? Absolutely, which is why in ALL-NEW INVADERS #5, he lets Jim Hammond go join S.H.I.E.L.D. so that he has a man on the inside that he trusts because he’s pulled this way and that way by all the different teams he’s on and the life he leads. He needs somebody to be the guy that he trusts always. That’s the Human Torch.”

Original Sin #1 arrives in May with a prologue issue later this month.
