An all-new story of Captain America and Bucky Barnes.

Captain America: White #1 marks the long-awaited reunion of Jeph Loeb and Tim Sale and the duo’s “Color” books.

The project was first previewed nearly seven years ago. The first chapter arrives this week.

The duo’s previous classic books: Spider-Man: Blue, Hulk: Gray, Daredevil: Yellow were unique defining, emotional stories of each hero from their past.

Sale talked about what they will explore with Steve Rogers in their latest collaboration:

“The thread running through all of the “Color” books is that each is framed as a narrative of our hero reminiscing about a lost loved one, and in CAPTAIN AMERICA: WHITE’s case, that is Cap losing Bucky. When we started this tale, remember, Bucky had actually died, and for many years, a defining characteristic of Cap’s was his grief and guilt about his part in that.” Sale told Marvel.com.

Captain America: White #1 arrives Wednesday.
