Chris Evans returns as Steve Rogers in Captain America: The Winter Soldier in 2014. The sequel is based on the modern classic story by Ed Brubaker in which Cap faces an old friend turned foe.
On the February cover of Empire magazine Evans as Cap is flanked by Scarlett Johansson as Black Widow and Sebastian Stan – yes, that’s the actor who played Bucky Barnes. In the sequel Cap must uncover a conspiracy within S.H.I.E.L.D. and face his former best friend turned cybernetic assassin.
The sequel introduces other Cap rogues: Frank Grill plays the man who is better known as Crossbones. No official word on if the actor will assume that infamous code-name. Georges St. Pierre will make Batroc…a badass.
Captain America: The Winter Soldier opens April 4, 2014.
