Following the world premiere of the first Captain America: Civil War trailer with Chris Evans and Robert Downey Jr. on Jimmy Kimmel Live, Marvel via Twitter unveiled three new posters for the superhero showdown coming in 2016.
“Divided We Fall” is the ominous line on all posters showing the conflict between uneasy allies Steve Rogers and Tony Stark turned enemies that will erupt in all-out war.
The simmering fight explodes over the fate of Cap’s best friend Bucky Barnes who was an assassin brainwashed by Hydra. The government led by General Thunderbolt Ross (William Hurt reprising his role from The Incredible Hulk) wants to have greater control over costumed heroes.
Based on the comics epic by Mark Millar, Captain America and Iron Man take opposite sides of the government crackdown with heroes falling in line with each leader including new hero Black Panther.
