The X-Men vs. Fantastic Four?
Bryan Singer was the Fantasia Film Festival making big announcements about Quicksilver, Scarlet Witch and Cyclops as far as X-Men: Days of Future Past.
The director hinted at a possible Marvel Mashup movie too according to Comic Book Movie. While Fox is moving forward with a X-Force film written by Jeff Wadlow remember they are also rebooting Fantastic Four with Josh Trank directing. Matthew Vaughn is producing. And it’s all under the creative watch of Mark Millar.
I think we could expect a Fantastic Four teaser in next year’s X-film that could signal a future FF vs. X-Men movie. In the comic book story Days of Future Past Franklin Richards (son of Reed and Susan) is the only left member of the FF. Franklin is in love with Rachel Summers (daughter of Scott and Jean Grey.) Franklin and Rachel are among the survivors of a hero holocaust in a dark alternative future ruled by Sentinels. No word on if either characters will appear but it could be under wraps.
I believe the time twisting plot of X-Men: Days of Future Past could reboot both franchises and pave the way for a film that includes the Children of the Atom and Marvel’s First Family in a Mashup to thrill fans.
