Brandon Routh (Superman Returns) will play another DC Comics superhero. Routh will join the cast of Arrow as scientist Ray Palmer (The Atom) next season according to TV Line.
The report says Palmer will be the new owner of Oliver Queen’s family corporation and a possible love interest for Felicity Smoak. Palmer is a scientist with the ability to grow and shrink his body and other objects.
Ray Palmer was one of the first superheroes of The Silver Age of comics created by Gardner Fox and Gil Kane and later joined the Justice League of America.
This is Routh’s latest comic book themed project. After playing Superman, Routh appeared in Scott Pilgrim vs. the World and the lead in Dylan Dog: Dead of Night.
