Valiant’s Bloodshot and Harbinger are hitting the big screen.

Valiant Entertainment and Sony Pictures announced a five picture deal according to The Hollywood Reporter.

Bloodshot will be directed by the team behind John Wick: David Leitch and Chad Stahelski, working with a screenplay by Jeff Wadlow (Kick-Ass 2) and Eric Heisserer. Matthew Vaughn and Jason Kothari will act as executive producers. This film is being targeted for 2017.

Heisserer is working on the Harbinger. No word on possible directors.

After two Bloodshot and two Harbinger films comes Harbinger Wars based on the comic book crossover of 2013.

All five movies will be produced by Valiant’s Dinesh Shamdasani, along with Original Film’s Neal H. Moritz and Toby Jaffe (The Fast and Furious franchise). Andrea Giannetti will oversee for Sony.

Bloodshot was just relaunched by Valiant Comics with Jeff Lemire writing. This antihero was a soldier resurrected from the dead, powered by nanotechnology and run by a covert government agency.

Harbinger is group of superpowered teens on the run from the Harbinger Foundation, runs by Harbinger and billionaire Toyo Harada, one of the big villains of the Valiant Universe.

“Sony Pictures and Neal Moritz are the ideal partners to bring the world of Bloodshot and Harbinger to life,” said Valiant CEO & Chief Creative Officer Dinesh Shamdasani. “They understand exactly what makes these characters tick and the exciting potential that they hold. These films are just the first step in partnership with Sony to bring Valiant’s biggest heroes to new audiences worldwide.”

Valiant is celebrating it’s 25th anniversary this year.
