BLACK WIDOW #2 Review

Black Widow #2 is lean, clean, quick storytelling just like Natasha on a deadly mission.

After a killer debut issue – writer Nathan Edmondson and artist Phil Noto knock it out of the park with another adventure starring the fan-favorite Avenger…not being an Avenger.

Natasha is taking on missions to make up for the “red” in her ledger. This issue’s mission parallels one from her past when she was an assassin. The creative team set up a new ongoing twist and introduce what could be a deadly new antagonist for Natasha. There’s only one way to settle her blood debt with this new enemy.

After experiencing the first two issues I’m hoping Edmondson and Noto are recruited for Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D. because you feel like you’re watching a thrilling episode of dark hero’s road to redemption.  Better yet – Marvel may want to sign this team up to advise on a Black Widow solo movie because is cinematic spy storytelling worthy of Natasha.
