Watch and Marvel:

Chadwick Boseman returns as T’Challa following his introduction to the Marvel Cinematic Universe in Captain America: Civil War.

Michael B. Jordan is Erik Killmonger, a classic Black Panther villain from comics. The Wakandan native was exiled from the country after conspiring with the villain known as Klaw.

The cast also includes Lupita Nyong’o, Danai Gurira, Daniel Kaluuya, Letitia Wright, Winston Duke, with Angela Bassett and Forest Whitaker. Martin Freeman returns as SHIELD operative Everett K. Ross (first seen in Captain America: Civil War) and Andy Serkis back as Ulysses Claue (first seen in Avengers: Age of Ultron.)

Here’s the official description:

“Marvel Studios’ “Black Panther” follows T’Challa who, after the death of his father, the King of Wakanda, returns home to the isolated, technologically advanced African nation to succeed to the throne and take his rightful place as king. But when a powerful old enemy reappears, T’Challa’s mettle as king—and Black Panther—is tested when he is drawn into a formidable conflict that puts the fate of Wakanda and the entire world at risk. Faced with treachery and danger, the young king must rally his allies and release the full power of Black Panther to defeat his foes and secure the safety of his people and their way of life.”

As seen in the trailer, Klaue is the only man intruder to get out of Wakanda alive and lost his arm to Ultron in Avengers: Age of Ultron. In the comics Klaw is armed with a bionic arm with a sonic weapon. Claue is in SHIELD custody in the trailer but will be become Klaw?

Captain America’s shield (and T’Challa’s costume) is made of vibranium, a mysterious metal only found in the African nation. Will the film explain how S.H.I.E.L.D. got the metal for Cap’s shield back in World War II?

Will we see Bucky Barnes/Winter Soldier?

Is the final Infinity Stone hidden in Wakanda?

Black Panther opens February 16, 2018. Ryan Coogler is directing.
