Bill Paxton guest stars on the next Marvel’s Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D. following this week’s huge episode in which a cult classic comic character was born and a member of the team went down.
Paxton is playing Agent John Garrett, the former superior officer and mentor of Agent Grant Ward. Comic book fans will remember Garrett from the classic Elektra: Assassin epic in which the S.H.I.E.L.D. operative became a cyborg.

Mike Peterson (J. August Richards) was transformed into the cybernetic soldier known as Deathlok.
Skye (Chloe Bennett) was brutally shot multiple times by villain Ian Quinn (David Conrad) and looks like she’s left in the same condition Phil Coulson was in after Loki’s assault in The Avengers movie.
Coulson recruits Garrett and goes on the attack to save Skye but may end up discovering secrets of his own “lost time” in Tahiti.
